Job Description

  • Plan, drive, and enable business performance objectives from the Insecticides portfolio, driving value pricing, maximize Profitable growth, with GP improvements.
  • Effectively plan, deploy, and manage A&P and NPI budgets for the strategic brands and portfolio objectives.
Portfolio
  • Lead successful launches, and business scaleups of innovative technologies (NPIs) with Launch excellence.
  • Lead sustainable long-term portfolio plans for Insecticides across the strategic crops with strong and differentiated value propositions.
  • Lead and execute effective Product Life Cycle Management for key Insecticide portfolio.
  • Work across marketing networks in Insecticides Portfolio globally, to create value within the CU business.
  • Develop, Implement and Share best practices from Insecticides portfolio management across the country.
Commercial
  • Develop, nurture, and grow Insecticide brands, with compelling value propositions, differentiated offers, creative campaigns to increase grower demand.
  • Develop market and channel segmentation, value offers, befitting promotions to enhance customer loyalty.
  • Lead Pricing for Insecticides portfolio, drive Value selling, grower connects, deploy creative tools and compelling selling stories.
  • Develop processes for building strong Insecticides offers, ensuring successful product launches with effective brand plans, value pricing and translation of those into strong campaign plans.
Strategy
  • Drive sustainable, profitable market share growth of the Insecticides portfolio through strategic product life-cycle management, effective Go-to-market development.
  • Lead long term Portfolio planning and its implementation for successful and sustainable market share growths.
  • Plan and execute portfolio augmentation aligned to current and emerging portfolio gaps.
People
  • Inspiringly lead Product Management team driving Collaboration, Differentiation and Creativity for achieving the portfolio objectives.
  • Lead cross functional teams (PLTs) with ownership and accountability for aligned priorities, end to end mindset for the portfolio.
  • Drive data driven decision culture, Digital ways of working, MaSE competence build up for self and team
Accountabilities
  • Lead multi-functional teams (PLTs) that co-create, co-own and steer designated portfolio objectives for short, mid, and long term.
  • Own and drive Insecticide portfolio business delivery in alignment with market, business and financial objectives for profitable market share growth.
  • Lead the launch and scale up of innovative technologies (NPIs) from IC portfolio across targeted market segments with winning Brand plans, value propositions, and driving it with launch excellence.
  • Collaborate with the divisional teams, capturing the divisional market dynamics, aligning to country portfolio strategies. Evaluate portfolio performances, bridging gaps and provide guidance.
  • Lead long term portfolio strategy (5 Year plan) process for Insecticides portfolio, track and monitor projects to deliver business impact against the committed long term Business Plans.
  • Lead annual divisional / country Portfolio Review process for Insecticides portfolio. Drive and align portfolio growth plans with the divisions.
  • Steer and lead seamless collaboration with CP Development, Technical Market Development, Regulatory teams as well as other cross functional teams. Lead stewardship, and sustainability areas for the Insecticides portfolio.
  • Inspiringly lead and enable IC product management team for higher team success, individual developments, and high impact value creation.
REQUIRED CAPABILITIES
Critical knowledge:
  • Good understanding of Crop Protection industry, Insecticides markets dynamics
  • Knowledge of Indian agri-business markets, Crop Protection GTMs, channel, growers needs across key crops, geographies
Critical experience .:
  • 12+ years of business, marketing, Brand portfolio management in CP markets
  • Commercial portfolio management, commercial approaches, pricing, CoGS, P&L steering
  • Project management & business development
  • Successful working in cross functional management with functions like R&D, Technical support, Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing
  • Ability to understand and assimilate different markets and cultures

  • Key stakeholder management, with proven influence and impact across functional and divisional boundaries
