About Trajectory

Trajectory is a rapidly scaling D2C comfort brand, featured on Shark Tank India, redefining everyday comfort through orthopedic and lifestyle pillows for travel, home, car, and office. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Accountant who can take complete ownership of our statutory compliance, taxation, and accounting operations.

Role Overview

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial compliance backbone of the company. This is a leadership-level accounting role suited for someone with a strong command of taxation, accounting principles, regulatory filings, and financial systems.

You will work closely with the management team to ensure financial accuracy, timely statutory filings, internal controls, and optimized financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Statutory & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure 100% compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and GST regulations
• Handle all ROC filings, company secretarial work, and statutory audit requirements
• Manage TDS returns, advance tax, and coordinate with consultants for periodic filings

✅ Income Tax & GST Management

• Prepare and file monthly/quarterly/annual GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B, 9, etc.)
• Oversee Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation and resolve mismatches
• Coordinate Income Tax filings, tax audits, and maintain all supporting documentation
• Keep updated with changes in tax laws, circulars, and compliance requirements

✅ Core Accounting & MIS

• Oversee day-to-day accounting in Tally / Zoho / QuickBooks / any ERP
• Maintain accurate records of books of accounts, general ledger, P&L, Balance Sheet
• Perform monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, vendor and customer ledgers
• Generate and share monthly MIS reports, cash flow projections, and financial statements

✅ Internal Controls & Process Coordination

• Implement and monitor internal financial controls, checks, and audit trails
• Coordinate with external auditors, CA firms, and statutory bodies as required
• Liaise with marketplaces like Amazon, Shopify and payment platforms (Razorpay, Paytm) for recon & compliance

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in core accounting and compliance
• In-depth understanding of GST, Income Tax, ROC filings, TDS and financial regulations
• Hands-on experience in Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks / Excel
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills and analytical mindset

Preferred (Good to Have)

• Prior experience in a D2C/eCommerce/startup environment
• Knowledge of marketplace & payment gateway reconciliations
• Familiarity with tools like RazorpayX, Paytm for Business, Zoho Inventory, Amazon Seller Central, Shopify
