About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist with a strong foundation in R programming and R Shiny for application in clinical trials, real-world evidence (RWE), and pharmaceutical analytics. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced in working with cross-functional teams to produce accurate, insightful, and regulatory-compliant statistical outputs.

This role demands a deep understanding of clinical trial phases, statistical programming, data visualization, and reporting standards like CDISC, along with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and validate statistical analyses and reports for clinical trials using R and R Shiny

- Build interactive data exploration tools and dashboards for real-time insights into trial data

- Perform data wrangling, quality control, and data visualization to support clinical programming deliverables

- Apply statistical methodologies to generate tables, listings, and figures (TFLs) in compliance with CDISC and other regulatory standards

- Collaborate with biostatisticians, clinical teams, and medical writers to interpret statistical needs and translate them into programming solutions

- Ensure programming outputs are auditable, reproducible, and well-documented

- Drive innovation by implementing R packages, Shiny apps, and automation frameworks for analysis

- Contribute to cross-functional meetings and effectively communicate programming decisions and outputs

Mandatory Skills :

- 8+ years of experience in data science/statistical programming

- Proficiency in R and R Shiny must have hands-on experience

- Clinical domain expertise: Strong understanding of clinical trial data, phases I-IV, late phase, and RWE

- TFL generation and CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM) experience

- Solid grasp of statistical concepts used in medical research and their practical implementation through code

- Strong data wrangling, data visualization, and reporting skills in R

- Experience working on at least one full clinical study cycle

Preferred Skills :

- Working knowledge of SAS and/or Python

- Familiarity with REST APIs and data integration techniques

- Exposure to DevOps/CI-CD environments, version control (Git), and collaborative workflows

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

- Experience working in an agile clinical development environment
