- Ensure maintenance of fire-fighting equipment and operate during emergencies within short notice.
- Scheduled check up of systems/equipments.
- Training the staff and workmen in fire-fighting.
- Maintaining all equipments to required levels.
- Coordinate with Govt. agencies & other units to arrange additional resources.
- Timely replacement/refilling of portable fire extinguishers in various Departments.

- Liaison with law enforcement authorities and Road Transport Officers for supporting the business activities of the Unit
