Position Summary :

As a Senior Java Developer at Unison Consulting, you will be a key contributor to our development projects, responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining critical Java-based applications. You will leverage your extensive experience in Java/J2EE and modern frameworks to deliver high-performance, secure, and reliable software. This role requires a strong technical foundation, a commitment to best practices, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web services (SOAP and RESTful) and applications using Java/J2EE technologies.

- Implement robust solutions leveraging Spring/Spring Boot framework.

- Develop and optimize database interactions with various RDBMS (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle) and NoSQL databases (like Redis).

- Implement custom frameworks for critical functionalities such as security (e.g., OAuth, JWT) and robust validations.

- Batch Processing : Design and implement efficient batch processing solutions for large-scale data operations.

- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) : Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to testing, deployment, and support.

- Adhere to modern software development methodologies and best practices, ensuring clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

- Utilize and contribute to continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Git, Maven/Gradle, and Docker.

- Apply advanced understanding of software testing methodologies, scripting, and tools to ensure comprehensive testing.

- Possess strong troubleshooting skills to effectively diagnose and resolve issues in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production environments.

- Collaboration : Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating closely with fellow developers, quality assurance engineers, business analysts, and clients to deliver successful projects.

Requirements

Experience :

- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on development experience in Java/J2EE.

- Minimum experience of three or more full Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) for web application projects.

Core Java & Frameworks : Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE, with extensive experience in the Spring/Spring Boot framework.

Database Expertise : Strong experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle, and NoSQL databases like Redis.

Web Services : Proven experience in implementing web services, including both SOAP and RESTful web services.

Custom Frameworks : Demonstrated experience in implementing custom frameworks, particularly related to security and validations (e.g., OAuth, JWT).

Build Tools & Containers : Strong command of build tools such as Git, Maven/Gradle, and hands-on experience with containers like Docker.

Batch Processing : Experience in designing and implementing batch processing solutions.

Software Methodologies : Advanced understanding of modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

Testing Methodologies : Advanced understanding of software testing methodologies, scripting, and tools.

Teamwork & Client Engagement : Good working attitude, dedication, and ability to work effectively in a team and engage professionally with clients.

Troubleshooting : Strong troubleshooting skills for UAT and Production issue resolution.

Good to Have :

- Agile Experience : Experience working in Agile development environments.

- DevOps : Familiarity or experience with DevOps toolchains.

- Cloud Platforms : Experience with container management platforms like AWS ECS and virtualization services like AWS EC2.

- Messaging Platforms : Experience with messaging platforms such as AWS SNS/SQS, Kafka, and IBM MQ.

- Application Servers : Experience in Application Server configurations (e.g., WebSphere, JBoss).

- Software Testing Tools : Experience with software testing tools such as Selenium, Karate, Microfocus UFT, and Katalon.
