Automation Engineer - CI/CD Pipeline (12-15 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Automation Engineer with 12-15 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Bangalore.

This role is focused on the engineering aspects of automation, requiring a deep understanding of software development principles and the ability to design, build, and maintain robust automation platforms and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in developing automation frameworks, tools, and solutions that streamline software delivery processes.

You will be expected to provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and drive the adoption of engineering best practices within the automation domain.

This role is distinct from an Automation Engineer, focusing on the creation and maintenance of the automation ecosystem itself, rather than primarily on test script creation and execution.

Required Skills :

- Extensive Experience (12-15 years) in building and maintaining automation platforms, frameworks, and infrastructure.

- Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages with a focus on languages suitable for building automation tools and platforms (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C#, JavaScript).

- Deep understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and architectural best practices.

- Significant hands-on experience in designing and developing custom automation frameworks and extending existing open-source tools.

- Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

- Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.

- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and their integration with automation systems.

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their application in building scalable automation solutions.

- Strong understanding of network and system administration concepts relevant to automation infrastructure.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design and troubleshoot complex automation systems.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and effectively.

- Proven experience in providing technical leadership and mentoring team members.

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with specific automation tools relevant to the organization's technology stack (e.g., Selenium Grid architecture and management, specific API automation platform development).
