Position Summary:
- The Vice President of Strategy will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the company's strategic plans.
- This role involves identifying new business opportunities, driving growth initiatives, and ensuring the company's long-term success in a highly competitive automotive industry.
- The VP of Strategy will work closely with the executive team to align strategic objectives with the company's vision and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Lead the formulation of the company's long-term strategy, aligning with market trends and business goals.
- Identify growth opportunities in existing and emerging markets, including product diversification and geographic expansion.
- Analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
Business Development:
- Drive the exploration of new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances.
- Lead initiatives to enter new markets, launch new products, and enhance the company's market positioning.
- Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures to support strategic growth.
Market Analysis and Forecasting:
- Conduct in-depth market research to anticipate industry shifts and emerging trends.
- Develop and maintain forecasting models to predict market demand, competitive dynamics, and growth potential.
- Provide strategic insights to the executive team based on data-driven analysis.
Operational Alignment:
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure strategic initiatives are integrated into operational plans.
- Work closely with product development, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives and adjust plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the strategy team, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
- Provide guidance to cross-functional teams involved in strategic projects.
- Ensure that the strategy team is equipped with the skills and resources needed to achieve objectives.
Financial Analysis and Budgeting:
- Develop and manage budgets for strategic initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Analyze the financial impact of strategic decisions and provide recommendations to optimize profitability.
- Present strategic plans and financial forecasts to the board of directors and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and industry associations.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to promote the company's strategic vision.
- Communicate strategic plans and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in strategic roles, preferably within the automotive industry or related sectors.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful business strategies.
- Strong understanding of the automotive market, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Leadership skills: Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a diverse team.
