Software Engineer - Full Stack Technologies (4-5 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer - Fullstack to join our dynamic development team in Trivandrum. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded individual passionate about building end-to-end solutions, from intuitive user interfaces to robust backend services and scalable cloud infrastructure.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality, testable, and scalable code across the entire application stack. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with modern frontend frameworks, powerful backend technologies, and leading cloud platforms, contributing significantly to the architecture and delivery of our next-generation applications.

Key Responsibilities :

Frontend Development :

- Design and build highly responsive, intuitive, and performant user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically Vue.js or React.js.

- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimal user experience on various devices.

Backend Development :

- Develop robust, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js as the primary language.

- (Optionally, leverage Python for backend development where applicable).

- Implement business logic, integrate with various data sources, and ensure efficient data processing.

Cloud Integration & Deployment :

- Architect and implement solutions leveraging AWS cloud services for scalable and resilient deployments .

- Utilize services such as Amazon ECS (Elastic Container Service), AWS Lambda (serverless functions), Amazon RDS (Relational Database Service), and Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service).

DevOps & Automation :

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and automated software delivery.

- Work with containerization technologies like Docker for application packaging and deployment.

- (Familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus for orchestrating containerized applications).

Performance & Security Optimization :

- Continuously optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and availability.

- Implement robust security measures and best practices to ensure data protection and application integrity.

Database Management :

- Work with both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.

Collaboration & Agile Practices :

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers, UI/UX designers, quality assurance engineers, and other developers to deliver new features and enhancements.

- Actively participate in agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Must-Have Skills :

- Frontend : Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with Vue.js or React.js for building responsive user interfaces.

- Backend : Proven experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js. (Experience with Python for backend is a significant plus).

- Cloud : Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, specifically ECS, Lambda, RDS, and S3.

- APIs : Solid understanding and practical experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and Microservices architectures.

- Databases : Experience with both SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).

- DevOps Basics : Familiarity and practical experience with CI/CD principles and tools, along with hands-on experience with Docker.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with Serverless / Event-Driven Architectures.

- Proficiency with Kubernetes for container orchestration.

- Possession of relevant AWS Certifications.

- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Playwright).

- Strong understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles.
