Senior Business Analyst (6-8 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and facilitate workshops, interviews, and brainstorming sessions with business stakeholders to elicit detailed functional and non-functional requirements.

- Analyze, validate, and prioritize requirements, ensuring they are clear, concise, unambiguous, and traceable.

- Identify and resolve conflicting requirements, escalating when necessary.

- Create comprehensive business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specification documents

(FSDs), user stories, use cases, and process flows (e.g., BPMN diagrams).

- Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visually represent proposed solutions where applicable.

- Maintain and manage requirement traceability matrices throughout the project lifecycle.

- Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and QA engineers to design feasible and scalable technical solutions that meet business requirements.

- Participate in design reviews and provide valuable input from a business perspective.

- Support the QA team in developing test plans and test cases, ensuring that delivered solutions meet the defined requirements and quality standards.

- Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide clarification to users as needed.

- Actively participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from initiation to deployment and post-implementation support.

- Support change management activities by analyzing the impact of changes on existing systems and processes.

- Contribute to project planning, risk assessment, and resource allocation.

- Mentor junior business analysts, sharing knowledge and best practices.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of BA processes, methodologies, and tools within the organization.

Qualifications & Skills :

- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CSPO, PMP) are a plus.

- Experience : 6+ years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.

- Domain Knowledge : Experience in specific domains (e.g., E-commerce, FinTech, Healthcare, Supply Chain, etc.) will be highly advantageous.

- Analytical Skills : Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Tools Proficiency :

- Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Rally).

- Experience with process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, draw.io).

- Familiarity with prototyping/wireframing tools (e.g., Balsamiq, Figma, Adobe XD).

- Strong command of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Solid understanding and practical experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
