Senior Accountant - Accounts Payable (3-5 yrs)

Position : Senior Accountant (French Speaking)

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable (AR) Management:

- Manage the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process, including accurate invoicing to clients.

- Actively engage in chasing and following up on collections to ensure timely receipt of payments.

- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies related to receivables.

Accounts Payable (AP) & General Accounting:

- Oversee and manage Accounts Payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and vendor payments.

- Maintain accurate ledgers and ensure all accounting activities are performed in accordance with relevant accounting principles.

- Perform general ledger reconciliations and month-end closing activities.

ERP System Utilization:

- Utilize and navigate effectively within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to manage accounting transactions and data.

- Ensure data integrity and accurate record-keeping within the ERP.

Team Collaboration & Communication:

- Work closely within the accounting team, collaborating on various activities and providing support where needed.

- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, particularly those in French-speaking regions, to resolve queries and facilitate smooth operations.

- Proactively identify and address accounting-related issues, working collaboratively to find solutions.

Compliance & Reporting Support:

- Support the team in ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

- Assist in generating financial reports as required.

Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting.

- Experience: Proven experience as an Accountant with a strong understanding of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, along with exposure to broader accounting activities (3-5 years).

- French Language Proficiency: Mandatory fluency in both spoken and written French.

- The role requires regular communication with French-speaking counterparts and handling documents in French.

- Time Zone Availability: Ability to work effectively in a shift timing from 11 AM to 8 PM (IST) to ensure significant overlap with French business hours.

- Technical Skills: Good understanding and practical experience with ERP systems is highly preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

- Soft Skills: Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, excellent communication abilities, keen attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

- Work Model: This role is primarily Work From Office (WFO).

Preferred Qualifications:

- Specific experience with a commonly used ERP system.

- Prior experience working with international teams, particularly within European time zones.
