We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented International Business Development Manager to spearhead our global expansion strategy.
The ideal candidate will identify new international markets, develop relationships with potential global clients/partners, and drive cross-border sales initiatives.
This role requires strategic thinking, cultural awareness, and a proven track record in international B2B/B2C business development.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Expansion & Strategy:
- Identify, evaluate, and penetrate new international markets (EMEA, APAC, North America, LATAM, etc.)
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies tailored to each region.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
Sales & Relationship Management:
- Generate leads through international networking, trade shows, referrals, online platforms, and strategic outreach.
- Build strong relationships with distributors, resellers, channel partners, and key enterprise clients.
- Close high-value deals and negotiate international contracts with favorable terms.
Pipeline Development & Revenue Growth:
- Maintain and grow a pipeline of qualified global prospects.
- Track and achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets in international regions.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to leadership.
Coordination & Support:
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, product, logistics, legal, finance) to ensure smooth deal execution.
- Handle export documentation, compliance regulations, and partner onboarding (where applicable).
- Drive localization efforts for product messaging, sales decks, and proposals.
- Represent the Company Internationally
- Attend global conferences, trade fairs, and industry events.
- Promote the brand and solutions to a wide network of decision-makers abroad.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
- Strong international sales & negotiation skills
- Excellent understanding of cross-cultural communication
- Experience working with CRM tools (e.g, Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Strategic thinker with ability to map long-term opportunities
- Familiarity with international payment terms, Incoterms, and trade regulations
Preferred Industry/Functional Experience:
- Export/Import, SaaS, IT Services, Manufacturing, FMCG
- Working knowledge of global sales cycles and enterprise buying behavior
Tools & Platforms:
- MS Office / Google Workspace (Excel, Slides, Docs)
- CRM platforms (e.g, Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot)
Business Intelligence Tools (optional)
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in international business development or global sales.
- Proven record of achieving and exceeding international revenue targets.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building ability
- Self-motivated, proactive, and target-oriented
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability in international settings
- Willingness to travel overseas as required
