Zettamine - Senior SAP Basis Consultant (8-10 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a seasoned Senior SAP BASIS Consultant with expertise in SAP HANA and S/4HANA environments to be a key player in managing and optimizing our enterprise SAP infrastructure. You will be responsible for the technical administration, installation, configuration, performance tuning, upgrades, and troubleshooting of SAP systems. The role demands a deep understanding of HANA architecture and BASIS best practices to ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform end-to-end technical administration of SAP systems including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Fiori, and other SAP applications.

- Manage system installation, configuration, upgrade, patching, and maintenance of SAP systems in HANA environments.

- Implement and monitor SAP transport management system (TMS), managing imports/exports and transport requests across the landscape.

- Carry out client administration including client copy, refreshes, deletion, and logical client setup.

- Perform routine SAP HANA DB monitoring, performance tuning, backup/restore, and system replication

(HANA SR).

- Analyze SQL plan cache, memory usage, and long-running queries for optimization.

- Set up and manage HA/DR configurations for SAP HANA on cloud or on-premise infrastructure.

- Support SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) for monitoring, diagnostics, and maintenance.

- Administer SAP Fiori front-end servers, gateway configurations, and OData service activation.

- Work with SAP Cloud Platform, integration services, and hybrid system setups (on-prem/cloud).

- Provide technical leadership in SAP migrations, system conversions, and greenfield/brownfield S/4HANA implementations.

- Act as Level 2/3 support for BASIS-related tickets, root cause analysis, and incident resolution.

- Create and maintain technical documentation for configurations, maintenance plans, and operational

guides.

- Ensure system security, apply patches, monitor logs, and enforce user and role governance in line with audit requirements.

- Participate in change advisory boards (CABs) and support ITIL-based change management processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills :

- 8- 10 years of hands-on SAP BASIS experience in enterprise environments.

- Minimum 3+ years of experience with SAP HANA database and SAP S/4HANA systems.

- Experience with SAP installations and upgrades using SWPM and SUM tools.

- Proficient in OS-level administration (Linux/UNIX) and basic networking/storage fundamentals relevant to SAP environments.

- Expertise in HANA DB backup/recovery, system replication, and performance optimization.

- Working knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAP Cloud Connector, and SAP Gateway services.

- Experience with SAP Solution Manager Monitoring, EWA configuration, and diagnostics.

- Familiarity with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) design for HANA and application servers.

- Exposure to SAP EarlyWatch Alert, SAPRouter, and connectivity troubleshooting.

- Strong grasp of ITIL framework, especially in change and incident management.
