Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation Testing (3-6 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM) to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our IAM solutions, particularly those built on SailPoint IdentityIQ and IdentityNow.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans, driving test automation efforts, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to deliver robust and secure identity solutions.

Responsibilities :

- Test Strategy & Planning : Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for IAM solutions, with a strong emphasis on SailPoint IdentityIQ and IdentityNow implementations.

- Functional & Regression Testing : Execute thorough functional, integration, system, and regression testing across all IAM components and workflows.

IAM Domain Expertise : Apply deep understanding of IAM domain workflows, including :

1. Provisioning : Joiner, Mover, and Leaver processes.

2. Access Certifications : Designing and testing certification campaigns.

3. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) : Validating role definitions, assignments, and permissions.

4. Single Sign-On (SSO) & Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) : Testing integration and functionality.

- Test Automation Development : Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, REST-assured, Postman).

- BDD Frameworks : Leverage Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks to create clear, collaborative, and executable specifications for testing.

- API Testing : Perform extensive API testing (REST/SOAP) to validate integrations with various systems, including Active Directory.

- Programming & Scripting : Utilize Java, Beanshell, JavaScript/JSP, and SQL for test automation, data manipulation, and troubleshooting.

- Defect Management : Identify, document, track, and retest defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

- Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with product owners, developers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements, define test scope, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

- Documentation : Maintain clear and concise test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.

- Process Improvement : Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 3-6+ years of experience in software testing, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software.

- At least 1-2 years of dedicated, hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or SailPoint IdentityNow.
This includes deep familiarity with their core functionalities, configuration, and common use cases.

- Strong hands-on experience with IAM domain workflows : Provisioning (joiner/mover/leaver), access certifications, RBAC, SSO/MFA.

Proficiency in test automation tools :

- Selenium

- TestNG

- JUnit

- REST-assured

- Postman

- Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, JBehave).

Strong programming skills in :

- Java

- Beanshell

- JavaScript/JSP

- SQL

- Familiarity with API testing (REST/SOAP) and experience with tools for API testing.

- Experience with integration testing of IAM solutions with external systems, particularly Active Directory.

- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Desired Skills (Plus Points) :

- Experience with other IAM solutions or concepts.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with IAM.

- Experience with performance testing tools.

- Certifications in SailPoint products.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
