Learning environment is good, if you really wish to learn and grow then you can find plenty of options within the bank to let you do that. Work life balance has been quite good eversince covid came into picture as we now work in a hybrid fashion(Most depts*).

Learning and getting promoted in your line of business is not too difficult at Barclays. But do keep in mind that they do not increase your salary by a good margin when you get promoted for some reason, (your rating for that year goes as 'strong' by default, giving you a raise of 8-10% on your income after tax)</mark>. Appraisals are pathetic at barclays. Saying that as i have been rated as an outstanding member of the team recently but still only 11K increment is a joke. Many people are not financially happy at barclays. Mostly those who have been here for quite sometime now. If you are about to join barclays or if you are currently working at barclays then i recommend you work here and try and get promoted within two years and then switch the company for a better financial growth and maybe join back in some years for further increment in salary. Sadly I have wasted more than 6 years here with little financial growth compared to market....Read More
