Nothing these people are hopeless and doesn’t know basics about how do deal with professional. Bunch of idiots running the show.

Dislikes

Everything like their pay packages are quite low on the contrary the university is charging students huge loads of money. Next is that they change rules as per their convenience and doesn’t regard medical issues and no humanitarian approach towards staff. In total they cause slow and steady mental trauma by giving shit reasons for increased workload and poor management.

Dislikes

Dynamic decisions to make nonworking days to working days, Due to summer term vacations can't be taken whole and not able to pre plan anything like booking etc.

If you're working as a Professor, you do get enough time for yourself. Workday ends at 4:30 PM

Dislikes

You absolutely cannot cancel classes, this means you'll have to look for adjustments yourself if you want to take a leave, even if you have an emergency. Only 3 days for medical leave. There's an entire department whose fulltime job is to catch you doing something they consider "wrong" like standing idle even for 1 minute, your phone even being NEAR you on the table even, speaking even a word of Hindi (even if the student cannot understand English at all) or if the attendance portal is seen open on your laptop even 1 minute after the given time (first 5 minute). If you so much as have installed WhatsApp on your laptop and not even using it during class, Sitting for even 10 seconds when you're tired during a 2 hour long lecture. They'll click picture of you, make video of you and report it. You'll get 3 day LWP for phone usage. This just keeps you in a constant state of stress while teaching. You'll be constantly hounded for research papers, for which they have taken away the staff's Saturday roasters as a punishment. You'll have to come and sit here all 4 Saturdays. There's no classes, you just have to waste time here. They'll always prioritize students over you so even if you file a complaint against someone, nothing will happen but their fake reviews of your teaching will impact your appraisal....Read More

Micromanagement in everything.. Faculty is forced to sit in class all the time without actual contribution. Education is not important here but attendance is all that matters. No respect for faculty members. Bad and toxic work culture. Disrespectful students, no filter of who is admitted in the institute. Lots of spoon feeding is expected management. All about branding but from inside its empty.

I love the supportive colleagues and collaborative environment at Chandigarh university. The infrastructure and resources for reasearch are excellent, making teaching here a rewarding experience.

Dislikes

Dislikes

Hardwork rewarded with more work. Authorities lacks basic skills of professional communication. Verbal abuse is common. The university will call you to work most of the time even on your days off.

I love the campus, it's just so beautiful that the walk back from work erases every single stressful moment from the day. The faculty is helpful, the staff right upto the security guards is so helpful that you won't ever feel lost. Salary is always on time and HR dept is cooperative too.

Dislikes

Saturdays are working most of the time and if you've joined recently, the leaves would be few.
