Nothing stay away from SMC - CSTS group.

CSTS COE head is good but the managers especially in TS are good for nothing. They will treat you like They know everything and will never listen to you and if there is any mistake being done from their end then they will start blaming you. If you ask them questions They say don't question my leadership. In reality they are not aware about the process and instead they will try to prove you wrong saying you are not aware about the process. There is a manager who supports only one single employee even though she/he is fully dumb. That particular individual is so dumb that being an electrical engineer not even aware about the basics but yes if you are from a specific gender and you are able to influence your manager then that is also a good talent but manager is dumb not able to identify it. Eaton has superb technical crowd, but unfortunately with poor managers. Culture is getting more towards being visible and making beautiful presentations rather than getting actual work done. Few teams are wonderful to work in and have sound technical work and people. Salary compensation is poor and promotion cycle is too slow. Health cover is good. Taking leaves is very good. (Best part of Eaton). Flexible working hours....Read More

Poor leadership, no care for employees, too slow to respond to changes. It became quite evident with COVID. No clarity and decision making in leaders. Leadership just knows to say 'We are working on problem' rather actual ground work.

Always changing manager and very often reorganise the structure. I got 4 managers in 6 years. New manager dont know much about his own role and you. He depends on previous manager's feedback for your evaluation. If you show your achievements still he can not able to put your candidature in front of sr management for promotion. They ask for different certifications for your promotion which they didn't mentioned in any of the internal documents in written nor they told you at the time of recruitment. Even if you are exceeding the responsibilities in the current designation still they dont offer you promotions in the name of certifications. Give promotions and decent increments to new people just to maintain iteration rate below target but didn't care about old employees for that matter. No standars processes set. Very few days I worked for 9-6 time, most of the time it exceeds upto midnight. Managers aren't aware of scope of work or the actual content in the task, so they commit false timeline and then engineers have to stretched. And due to this when deliverable timelines misses they questions your capability. They didn't questionedyour credibility when you have delivered 15 odd programmes earlier. There is groupism in the teams, if you are of their mentality then you get appreciated otherwise they remember you only at the time of work. They call themselves 'one eaton' but there are different unwritten rules for different teams which are keep on changing with changing managers or sr managers. Many people are reluctant to share their knowledge. Its a great brand in US not here because of reserved mentality of some people....Read More

I learned on job by myself. No one had given any trainjng to me. Because of good brand value eaton get good projects from market so you get chance to work on many good programs.
