Dear HSCian, While we are glad that you have found Hughes Systique’s culture of employee centricity, the important aspect of job security to be of worth a positive mention in your review. Though, when you say that HSC is working on legacy projects & old technologies, kindly note that with three state-of-the-art R&D centres, we are working on multiple projects using the latest Digital Technologies like Cloud, AI & ML, NoSQL/SQL databases, Microservices architecture, Spring boot, Angular, React, Python, Django, Selenium. In Wireless we are working on most cutting-edge work in the 5G, O-RAN, Software Defined Radio, LTE, M-plane, Network Function Virtualization and satellite communication, Embedded development using C, Linux, Microcontroller, RPA etc. We understand that your suggestions are in the right spirit, but we would also like you to know that many of the services companies especially old players, have a mix of legacy and new projects. We encourage you to talk to your manager, engineering group head or the engineering head to know more about the various technologies that we work in, and they will be able to give you a clearer picture and guide you towards the Centers of Excellence, to learn more about the various projects being executed and R&D being done across different tech domains to clear your understanding. Your remark that ‘management only likes & believes who are there since the beginning and will stay there for their life’ is sweepingly generic to be true. Coming to the cons section of your review, we would like you to know that HSC is an equal opportunity employer, compensation fitments & revisions are independent of gender, ethnicity, age, colour & nationality etc. Salary fitment is purely based on a candidate’s experience, profile, the role he/she is being hired for and performance in the interview and not on the basis of last drawn salary of the candidate. Salary fitments are done, afresh, each year basis. Compensation is reviewed once every year in April based on the performance of the employee, salary band for that role/grade and are aligned with the market offering for the respective skill set. They are not averaged out over years. You are requested to talk to your manager, engineering group head or the engineering head and share your concerns and suggestions with them as we do not shy away from such discussions. Dear Anonymous, We are glad that you found HSC as an employer to be “overall good” and mentioning as such in the likes section of your review. Addressing the dislikes section of your review, we would like to let you know and through this review to the readers as well that that the half yearly incentive is an assured component of salary. By design, some salary components have a retention aspect built into them. Half Yearly Incentive is one such component and engineers, including yourself, may have experienced deductions due to separation before the completion of the required tenure. All terms related to this component are clearly and transparently published for all employees in the company. Even if you would have accessed the “Separation Portal” on Appedia, you would have been better informed and as such, our HR team would have gladly guided you through the details if enquired. We noticed that you have given us a poor review for “Skill development”. We would like you to know that our dedicated Learning & Development team schedules various comprehensive trainings from time to time with active inputs from Engineering recommending the topics to be covered. We wish only if you would have leveraged those trainings aligning with your areas of interest. Also, HSC encourages self-learning for HSCians to learn at their pace using the training content available online. You could have also spoken to your manager, engineering group head or engineering head, share your areas of interest & seek their guidance. Centres of Excellence at HSC could have immensely added to your learning experience. Nevertheless, we wish you the best for your future and thank you for your valuable contributions at HSC.
