Managers do not care what your interest area of work instead they will force you to learn something they have in the project. And if you refuse to learn they will give you very poor rating and they will stop your salary hike for the year.

Salary is decent compared to industry average. Also, You don’t need to worry about the job security unless you are really bad. Work life balance depends on which line of business and what team are you working.

Dislikes

Promotions are too slow compared to your peers in US or UK. A person will stay as an Analyst or Associate for years and your peer will become a Vice President or even an Executive Director within the same timelines. Your promotions are hardly based on your performance and mostly based on how much good relationship you have with yourmanager and how much the management has endorsed you as a brand....Read More

Jp Morgan provides the best in class inclusivity and job security and competitive compensation along with perfect work life balance and a culture that makes you feel like making it the only company you would ever wanna work for.

Dislikes

The thing I disliked was the interview for internal job postings. Whilst they do multiple interviews but they still open job requisition in accordance to the person they have in mind.

Company is good. It has good policies for their employees. Providing decent salary, good bonus and other great perquisites. Employees transportation and insurance cost is borne by the company and not charged from employees. Work life balance. Very repetitive work . One can manage and make a balance in personal and work stuff. Salary is good if you negotiate good at the time of joining. Later it becomes stagnant ( bonus is good )

Work , skill development , self growth is quite difficult as mostly old technologies are running since years . Senior monopoly. Very less scope for new comer to learn , implement new things , gives ideas and growth . Few people sitting since inception at senior level , they do not move resulting impacting your growth .

Great culture to promote internal talent. Open to mobility. Very resilient organisation. Good place to work with. Great infrastructure. You feel proud working with JP. Facilities are amazing.

Dislikes

Bureaucracy - that is the single biggest put off for me. Salary at senior levels is not very competitive. Also, you tend to get siloed quickly. At senior levels, career pathing is not very clear. When people resign, they are told about what great plans were being created for them.

Insensitive to employees needs, especially females. No work from home provided out of the blue, misuse of company funds and cafeteria food is not at all healthy. Bad HR services and management is least bothered about our needs.

JPMC is a good brand name to work with. If you're in the right LOB with the right people above you, the opportunities you get can be very good. The company provides free transport facility which can be a boon if you're working in a city like Mumbai or Bangalore. Job security is great here.

Dislikes

The quality of work is really bad. In my case, I was promised new learning and technology, but ended up doing worse work than I was doing before joining this place. The so called "technically strong" VPs are just folks who know the ecosystem well and are not really good at tech. There's a lot of politics in the company. It has a very high number of people who have been around for more than 6-7 years and are either redundant outside of the company or have not been able to find jobs elsewhere. These folks gang up and make it difficult for new joiners to keep themselves relevant<mark style="background-color: #fff5e4;">.
