Work culture is good, with very healthy competition and accommodative. Being Government organization, middle and top management has to work under political pressure, vested interest. Also have to cope up with policy implementation of different political nature.

Very nice to work at MAHAGENCO. Very nice atmosphere to work . All facilities and variety of knowledge gained if you do hard work.

Night shifts which are unavoidable due to nature of work.

1) Most of the staff is sincere. 2) Staff is comparatively in excess as the old units are being scraped. Moreover, old units are having more man - MW ratio as compared to new units. However, when new units will be commissioned, it would be sufficient. 3) There is a separate Training department which imparts 52 weeks training to the incoming.staff which is mandatory.

Dislikes

Job security is too much as it is a semi-govt. organisation. Hence it becomes difficult to take deterant action against the inefficient and unwanted staff.

Hectic Shift duty is almost unavoidable except for maintenance staff.
