Adani? Is this how freshers should be treated
In Feb, I applied for the GET position at Adani Cement. In March, I gave the interview and got shortlisted. In April, they took all my documents. HR told me, “Your joining will be next week, location is XYZ.” I was excited. I resigned from my current job — even when I requested them to adjust my notice period, HR said, “We are treating you as a fresher, so it’s not possible.” I trusted them. I dreamt big. I told my parents with pride. After that — silence. No response to calls, no replies to emails — even after following up 100+ times. And now? I receive a mail saying “Opportunity has been internally filled.” Not just me — almost 500 other shortlisted candidates got the same message. We were loyal. We waited patiently. We believed in this opportunity. Now, I don’t know what to tell my parents. I feel lost. To all companies: Is this fair? Is this the future we freshers deserve?
