Senior Equity Fund Manager - Insurance (7-10 yrs)

The position will be responsible for Managing the equity investments of the organization by formulating and executing equity strategies aligned with the life insurance business objectives, ensuring optimal portfolio performance within regulatory, risk, and internal policy frameworks. The job requires prior experience of managing Equities for Financial Institutions.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement equity investment strategies aligned with long-term portfolio objectives and regulatory guidelines.

- Manage proprietary equity portfolios to generate optimal risk-adjusted returns.

- Conduct and oversee macroeconomic, sectoral, and stock-specific research to support sound investment decisions.

- Monitor global and domestic market trends, valuations, and developments to identify investment opportunities and manage risks.

- Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations, internal investment policies, and risk management frameworks.

- Track and manage portfolio risk metrics to ensure alignment with the organisation's risk appetite.

- Collaborate with the CIO and other asset class heads (e.g., Fixed Income) to contribute to holistic portfolio management and strategy.

- Work with other Fund Managers and guide equity analysts, building team capability and driving a strong research-driven culture.

Qualifications:

- MBA (Finance), CFA, CA, or equivalent qualification

Experience:

- 7-10 years of experience in equity investment management, with atleast 5 years in managing equity portfolios

- Experience in insurance, mutual funds, or institutional investments preferred

Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of Indian equity markets and investment strategies

- Proficiency in equity research, valuation techniques, and portfolio construction

- Familiarity with IRDAI investment regulations and compliance frameworks

- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities
