We are seeking a highly experienced and client-focused Investment Portfolio Advisor with 7-10 years of proven expertise in investment management and financial advisory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing tailored investment portfolios for a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, families, and potentially institutional clients. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, investment products, risk management, and regulatory compliance, coupled with exceptional client relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor for all their investment needs.
- Conduct in-depth client profiling to understand financial goals, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, and time horizons.
- Regularly communicate portfolio performance, market insights, and investment recommendations to clients.
Investment Portfolio Management:
- Design, construct, and manage customized investment portfolios across various asset classes (equities, fixed income, mutual funds, alternative investments, real estate, etc.) based on client objectives and risk profiles.
- Conduct thorough research and due diligence on investment products and opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events to make informed investment decisions.
- Implement rebalancing strategies to maintain target asset allocations and optimize returns.
Financial Planning & Strategy:
- Integrate investment strategies within a broader financial planning context, considering aspects like retirement planning, tax efficiency, estate planning, and wealth transfer.
- Provide expert advice on wealth accumulation, preservation, and distribution strategies.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Continuously monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks and client objectives.
- Prepare and present comprehensive performance reports and investment reviews to clients.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Ensure all investment activities comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., SEBI guidelines, AML) and internal policies.
- Effectively manage portfolio risk in line with client profiles and market conditions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and investment documentation.
Market Research & Analysis:
- Stay abreast of global and domestic financial market developments, industry trends, and new investment products.
- Conduct fundamental and technical analysis to identify investment opportunities and risks.
Business Development (if applicable):
- Identify and pursue opportunities for client acquisition and asset gathering, contributing to the firm's growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of proven experience in investment advisory, portfolio management, wealth management, or a similar role within a financial institution (e.g., wealth management firm, private bank, mutual fund house).
- Mandatory certifications: NISM certifications relevant to investment advisory (e.g., NISM-Series-X-A: Investment Adviser (Level 1), NISM-Series-X-B: Investment Adviser (Level 2), or similar).
- Deep understanding of various investment products, financial markets, macroeconomic principles, and portfolio theory.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional client relationship management, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Proven ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely to clients.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters Eikon, portfolio management systems, MS Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Skills/Certifications:
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation or progress towards it.
- CFP (Certified Financial Planner) certification.
- Experience with specific portfolio management software.
