Associate & Senior Associate- Financial Modelling

Opportunity

Acuity is currently looking for dedicated and motivated individuals who have strong leadership, organizational and teamwork skills for its Investment Banking team based in Gurgaon, and will be responsible for handling projects, including preparing detailed financial models, conducting company and industry research, trading and transaction comps, and writing reports across sectors. The candidate will be in direct interaction with the client and responsible for final delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

Supporting our clients on sector agnostic assignments across multiple industries such as Consumer, TMT, Real Estate, Infrastructure, F&B, Healthcare, Energy & Mining, Retail, Oil & Gas, etc.

• Preparing detailed financial models from scratch including three-statement operating models, LBO, MBO, DCF, Merger (accretion/dilution), credit, cash flow models, etc.
• Should have experience in working on live deals
• Model Audits / Editing Should be able to do model audits/ reviews and edits independently
• Analyzing businesses and their financials, along with preparing trading and transaction comparables, operational and financial benchmarking, valuation analysis, etc.
• Conducting company and industry focused research, deals and peers screening, and preparing company profiles, discussion documents, etc.
• Preparing other deal specific documents such as memos, discussion papers, transaction proposals, etc.
• Supporting clients in various stages of due-diligence
• l Meet project timelines and quality of deliverables in a manner to ensure high client satisfaction
• Conducting analysis and performing quality control check of the outgoing reports/packs
• Engaging client independently through regular calls and e-mails
• Other activities include structuring deliverables / teams & developing new capabilities / new research products
• Demonstrate strength and flair in client / requester relationship building and management, information/knowledge needs assessment

Required Background

• MBA/ CFA/ CA
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial modelling
• Leading and delivering projects, including:
• Financial models including DCF, merger, LBO, credit etc. for different industries
• Bespoke quantitative projects like model audits/edits and quick valuation analysis, etc.
• Industry studies/ sector reports, market sizing
• Deals specific documents and presentations including discussion paper, transaction paper, investment memos
• Trading and Transaction comps
• Benchmarking, Ratio analysis
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience in client handling
• Should be well versed with MS Office suite specially Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of database such as CapitalIQ, FactSet, Bloomberg, Thomson, etc.
