Job Description

Basic accounting knowledge:
- What to check in an invoice before posting/accounting
- Journal entries
- Conceptual knowledge on accounting standards
- Exposure to Inter Company transactions & should be hands on with regards to book closure on accruals, cut off procedures etc
- Execute the GL accounting considering Taxes, execute payment application, sending RA s, follow-up with Vendor for invoices, quarterly TDS reconciliation, assistance in secretarial compliance etc
MIS:
- Worked on MIS reporting, preferably with entities from US, EMEA and APAC regions.
- Good understanding of GAAP standards and treatment of accounting transactions in different regions.
- Able to prepare Balance sheet schedules and also translate non-English transactions and financials into english for
- Reporting purposes.
Statutory compliance - TDS & GST:
- Applicability check, applicable sections, threshold limits
- TDS rates
- Due date to pay the TDS liability
- What is -B2B, B2C
- What all should be included in a valid GST vendor invoice
- Type of GST Returns, Due dates
- What is eligible GST input tax credit & what is in-eligible
- GST input tax register
- Due date to pay the GST liability
IGAAP:
- Knowledge on Notes to accounts disclosure for IGAAP & working towards capturing the same on quarterly basis.
- Testing for IFC controls
- Assistance in preparing Audit schedules & TDS annexures with Vendor reco for the tax audit.
Good to have:
- NetSuite General Ledger experience, working on NetSuite reports or any ERP exposure.
You will possess these technical skills:
- Good working knowledge on GST matters on Invoice accounting including completely handling the GST returns & recons to the GL.
- Good working knowledge on TDS applicability as per IGAAP on AP Invoice accounting including TDS recons & returns to be filed working & following up with vendor consultants.
Bird s eye view of your role:
- GL accounting in India controllership role of Aryaka handling Aryaka India schedules & MIS requirements working closely with the Assistant Manager responsible for closing Aryaka India books
What will you bring:

- What are your performance objectives -
- Gain expertise over Month close
- Proactively identify areas of process improvement for maximum efficiency
- Assist in managing the AP inbox under the guidance of the Assistant manager.
- Support the AP payments/GL Accounting Team.
- Take up ad hoc projects as & when it comes.
- Assist with Audit schedules & be a part of core Audit team in completing the Audit of financial statements.
- Perform daily and/or weekly tasks as per the payment cycle & close cycle.
- Customize and reconcile ledger accounts to have proper schedule & ensure good control on the ageing of GL balances across all Balance sheet accounts.
- How will your lofty goals be translated into specific actions / short term goals -
- Within the first 30 days, you will be trained with focus on understanding internal operational processes and procedures by the Assistant manager as well as the Senior manager in the team.
- By the end of 90 days, you should be in a position to independently handle the role.
