Book Keeping Manager

Role & responsibilities

This will be a crucial role at Impact Accelerators and should provide ample opportunities for growth. The job holder will report directly to the business owner but is required to successfully take on and complete tasks independently.

The job holder will be the highest-ranking member of the bookkeeping team and may at times manage junior staff.

• Independently manage monthly bookkeeping for a significant list of US based businesses across industries.
• Independently manage bookkeeping cleanups involving wide ranging accounting errors.
• Actively work to master all aspects of QuickBooks Online software and obtain relevant certifications.
• Continually manage companywide list of client / project statuses so that resources can be allocated appropriately.
• Provide managerial level of independent initiative and problem-solving abilities.
• Liaise directly with business owner daily.
• Review work of junior bookkeepers and assist them as needed.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Bookkeeping / Accounting expertise and at least 5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Experience in cleaning up mismanaged books.
• Impressive intellectual capabilities and the ability to independently solve problems and learn new tasks.
• QuickBooks experience is NOT required, but the capability to quickly master new software is. QuickBooks skills must rapidly improve and are expected to promptly reach mastery level. (QBO certification to be completed.)
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to quickly learn a long list of common American vendors.
• Ability to independently prioritize tasks and manage time.
• Strong desire to help build a company and position both it and oneself for long term success.
• Comfort in being part of a team and working together for a common goal.
