Job Description
- Deploy and maintain applications on cloud-native microservices architecture
- Propose, scope, design, and implement various infrastructure architectures
- Create and maintain CI/CD processes for new and existing services
- Keep up to date on modern technologies and trends
- Help increase system performance with a focus on high availability and scalability
- Work collaboratively with multiple agile teams to help deliver end-to-end products and features, seeing them through from conception to delivery
- Help define, document, evolve, and evangelize high engineering standards and best practices across multiple areas
- Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
- Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, manpower and time necessary
- Provide clear goals for all areas of a project and develop steps to oversee their timely execution
- Work closely with engineering professionals within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently
- Mentor and train other engineers throughout the company and seek to continually improve processes companywide
- Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong experience working with automation tooling (Terraform, Ansible, etc)
- Strong experience with containers and their orchestration (Docker, Compose, ECS, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of monitoring tools (PagerDuty, CloudWatch, Datadog, Sentry, etc)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience designing and implementing continuous delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with code repository management (git and git workflows), code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment and management using tools like Jenkins, Git, Puppet, Chef, Maven, Ant, Ivy, and Docker
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery, and release of software
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an Agile delivery environment
- Proficient in Golang or Python
