Collibra Expert - Data Governance (10-12 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Collibra Expert to serve as the go-to specialist for our client's data governance initiatives. In this critical role, you will leverage your deep understanding of Collibra's capabilities, data governance best practices, and emerging AI/GenAI features to drive successful implementations, optimize existing deployments, and provide expert guidance to stakeholders. You will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining a robust data governance framework utilizing the Collibra platform.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collibra Subject Matter Expert : Serve as the primary expert on Collibra's functionalities, architecture, and best practices. Provide in-depth knowledge and guidance on all aspects of the platform.

- Collibra Deployment Leadership : Lead end-to-end Collibra deployments, including planning, design, configuration, implementation, testing, and deployment phases.

- Feature Expertise : Possess comprehensive knowledge and hands-on proficiency in Collibra's core features, including data cataloging, data lineage, metadata management, data quality, data dictionary, business glossary, policy management, and workflow engine.

- New Age Feature Awareness : Stay abreast of the latest Collibra product roadmap, including new-age features leveraging AI and GenAI capabilities, and provide insights on their potential application.

- Data Governance Framework Implementation : Apply in-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices to design and implement effective solutions within Collibra.

- Integration Expertise : Demonstrate a strong understanding of APIs and connectors used to integrate Collibra with other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.

- Data Source Integration : Possess proven experience in integrating Collibra with various data sources, databases (both relational and NoSQL), data lakes, and other data platforms.

- Data Security and Compliance : Understand and apply data security and compliance requirements within the context of Collibra implementations.

- Stakeholder Collaboration : Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and leadership to understand their needs and translate them into Collibra solutions. -

- Solution Design and Configuration : Design and configure Collibra workflows, rules, policies, and other components to meet specific business requirements.

- Troubleshooting and Support : Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for Collibra-related issues, ensuring system stability and user satisfaction.

- Documentation and Training : Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to Collibra configurations, processes, and best practices. Provide training and knowledge transfer to relevant teams.

- Tool Evaluation and Comparison : Utilize strong analytical skills to evaluate and compare different data governance tools based on their capabilities and present clear findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Technical Skills :

- Extensive Hands-on Experience in Collibra : Demonstrated expertise in implementing, configuring, and managing the Collibra platform.

- In-depth Knowledge of Data Governance Frameworks and Best Practices : A strong understanding of industry-standard data governance principles and methodologies.

- Proficiency in Data Cataloging : Deep understanding and practical experience in establishing and maintaining a comprehensive data catalog within Collibra.

- Expertise in Data Lineage : Ability to implement and interpret data lineage within Collibra to track data flow and transformations.

- Mastery of Metadata Management : Proven ability to define, capture, and manage metadata effectively using Collibra.

- Knowledge of APIs and Connectors : Understanding of Collibra's APIs and various connectors used for integration with other systems.

- Experience Integrating with Diverse Data Sources : Hands-on experience connecting Collibra to a wide range of databases, data warehouses, data lakes, and other data platforms.

- Understanding of Data Security and Compliance : Familiarity with data security principles, compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and their application within data governance.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field. -

- 10-12 years of proven experience in data governance, data management, or data architecture roles.

- Significant and demonstrable hands-on experience with the Collibra platform is mandatory.
