Unit Head - Pharmacy

• Responsible for preparation of material requirement, handling of prescription & dispensing of medicines.
• Prepare and submit the accountability list to the Asst. Manager of pharmacy on a regular basis; Responsible for patient counselling.
• Responsible for preparation of MIS report and related documentation on a regular basis.
• Manpower allocation as per need; handling customer and discharge prescriptions; Attend to home delivery calls; responsible for reducing dispensing time.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Required Knowledge: - Should be familiar with compounding, prescription handling and drug dispensing procedures; Complete understanding Drugs and Cosmetics Act and APNDPS, Good understanding of organization policies and guidelines related to pharmacy practices.

Required Skills:-Should be computer literate and should be able to communicate appropriately.

Education, Experience & Formal Training: Must be Bachelor in Pharmacy with at least 8-13

years of experience in handling similar responsibilities. MBA will be an added advantage

Role Complexity: - Requires good understanding of pharmacy guidelines and Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

Interpersonal Relations: Job demands regular interaction with inter and intra departmental associates.

Supervisory skills: - Limited supervision scope as job entails good coordination.

Independent judgment: -Established procedures / policies govern most work situations.

Leadership Responsibility: Limited scope for leadership.

Impact & Consequences of Error: Errors can result in inadequate/wrong dispensing drugs which will result in health problem to patients.

Working Conditions: Will require handling crowded counters and ensuring accurate dispensation of medicines.
