Job Title: Night Billing Auditor

Job Summary:

The Night Billing Auditor is responsible for verifying the accuracy and completeness of billing transactions generated throughout the day. The role primarily focuses on auditing activity charts, validating service bookings by nursing/clinical staff, identifying billing mismatches, ensuring accurate OT billing as per utilization, and reviewing service cancellations. The auditor ensures that all charges fixed, variable, and allied are billed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify all transactions (OP/IP/Daycare/OT/Diagnostics/Pharmacy) and match them with source documents and approvals.
• Verify all services rendered are accurately billed. Reconcile orders, performed services, and cancellations with system entries.
• Ensure all drugs and consumables are billed / indented / returned as per the drug chart.
• Ensure all implants or surgical instruments are billed before discharge of patient.
• Verify that activity charts are updated and all billed services are documented. Cross-check entries with patient records and nursing documentation.
• Review bookings made by nursing and clinical teams. Identify any missed or duplicate entries.
• Audit cancellations of both performed and unperformed services. Verify proper documentation and justification is provided.
• Ensure consumables, equipment, and clinical team fees are accurately billed.
• Confirm that fixed charges (e.g., nursing, monitoring) and allied service charges (e.g., physiotherapy, radiology) are applied.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of hospital billing workflows and audit procedures.
• Proficient in interpreting activity charts and clinical documentation.
• Attention to detail and investigative mindset to identify gaps and errors.
• Familiarity with hospital billing systems.
