Job Title: AS400 Developer with Synon Expertise

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced AS400 developer with expertise in Synon to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing software applications on the AS400 platform using Synon tools. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and test software applications on AS400 using Synon tools.
2. Analyze user requirements and develop specifications for new applications or enhancements.
3. Write, debug, and optimize code in RPG, CL, or other languages as needed.
4. Utilize Synon tools for code generation, data modeling, and application development.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing timely support to end-users.
7. Develop and maintain technical documentation for applications and programs.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest AS400 and Synon technologies, recommending improvements and best practices.

Requirements:

1. 3+ years of experience with AS400 development, preferably with Synon tools.
2. Strong knowledge of RPG, CL, and other programming languages used on AS400.
3. Experience with Synon tools, including Synon for AS400, Synon Designer, and Synon Generator.
4. Familiarity with database management systems, including DB2/400.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
7. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with modernization of legacy AS400 applications.
2. Knowledge of web development technologies and integration with AS400.
3. Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
