Job Description
As an Integration Engineer, the resource will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions using the Mirth Connect platform. The role involves configuring and maintaining data interfaces, ensuring they adhere to healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, and DICOM. The resource will work closely with healthcare providers, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless data exchange between various healthcare systems. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare data standards, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using Mirth Connect to facilitate data exchange between healthcare systems.
- Configure and maintain data interfaces, ensuring they adhere to healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration and system interoperability, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Work with healthcare providers and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and IT teams to understand integration requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Perform regular system monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Document integration processes, configurations, and technical specifications to maintain comprehensive records.
- Provide training and support to end-users and other team members to ensure efficient use of integration solutions.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience with the Mirth Connect integration engine.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, or Python.
- Strong SQL and database management skills.
- Experience with other healthcare integration engines and knowledge of healthcare workflows and clinical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification on Mirth Connect.
