Job Title: Compliance & Internal Audit Specialist
• Department: Legal
• Experience: 4-8 years
• Responsibilities:
1. Regulatory Compliance:
a) Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations affecting the IT industry.
b) Develop and implement compliance strategies to mitigate risks.
c) Conduct periodic internal audits to assess adherence to regulatory requirements.
d) Filing of Shops and establishment, CLRA, annual POSH reports, Maternity benefit, ER 1 and all other Labor law related compliance filings.
e) Renewals of Shops and establishment and other company related licenses.
f) Statewide compliances wherein company offices are located.
2. Contractual Compliance:
a) Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with legal standards.
b) Collaborate with various departments to ensure contractual obligations are met.
c) Provide guidance on contract interpretation and negotiation.
3. Internal Audit:
a) Plan and execute internal audits to assess operational efficiency.
b) Identify areas for process improvement and risk mitigation.
c) Produce comprehensive audit reports with actionable recommendations.
d) Liaoning with external compliance consultants.
4. Policy Development:
a) Contribute to the development and enhancement of company policies.
b) Educate employees on compliance policies and procedures.
5. Collaboration:
a) Work closely with legal, Admin, finance, and other departments to address compliance issues.
b) Provide guidance to project teams on compliance matters as and when required.
c) Represent the Company in external client audits.
6. Qualifications:
a) Bachelors and/or Masters degree in law from a recognized university.
b) 4-8 years of experience in regulatory/compliance roles, preferably in the IT industry.
c) Any compliance certification is preferred , not mandatory
7. Key Competencies:
a) Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
b) Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
c) Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
d) Strong Knowledge about labor laws and employment relations.
e) Proficient in legal research and interpretation.
f) Strong understanding of IT services industry, the types of contracts and regulatory frameworks.
g) Preferred working experience in any of the compliance management tools as Admin
h) Proven experience in conducting internal audits.
i) Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
