Roles and Responsibilities:

• Route Planning: Designing and optimizing efficient bus routes to ensure timely and safe transportation of students.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Overseeing the regular maintenance and upkeep of school buses, ensuring they follow safety standards and regulations.
• Driver Management: Hiring, training, and supervising bus drivers to ensure they adhere to safety protocols and provide a secure environment for students during transit.
• Coordination with School Administration: Collaborating with school administrators to plan and implement transportation schedules aligned with academic activities and events.
• Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring compliance with local transport regulations, obtaining necessary permits, and keeping abreast of any changes in transportation levels.
• Safety Protocols: Implementing and enforcing safety protocols for students, including boarding and alighting procedures, emergency evacuation drills, and first aid preparedness.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of bus routes, driver schedules, maintenance activities, and other relevant documentation.
• Communication with Parents: Facilitating effective communication with parents regarding transportation schedules, route changes, and addressing any concerns or feedback related to school transport.
• Budget Management: Managing the transportation budget, including fuel costs, maintenance expenses, and other operational expenditures.
• Emergency Response: Developing and implementing emergency response plans for situations such as accidents, breakdowns, or unforeseen incidents during transit.
• Vendor Management: Liaising with transportation service providers, fuel suppliers, and other relevant vendors to ensure the smooth operation of the transportation system.
• Training Programs: Organizing training programs for bus drivers and attendants on safety measures, first aid, and dealing with challenging situations.
• Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement in the transportation system and implementing measures to enhance efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Attendance Tracking: Monitoring and recording student attendance during bus journeys to ensure the safety and accountability of all passengers.
• Coordination with School Events: Coordinating transportation logistics for school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities that involve student travel.

Desired Candidate Profile: Desired Candidate should be minimum graduate and preferably Automobile Engineer. Retired Army personal with similar trait can also apply. Someone working in a school/University in similar capacity will be given preference.
