Hvac Technician

Role Purpose:
To perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) at client facilities, ensuring optimal system performance and a safe, comfortable environment within managed properties.

Key Responsibilities:
🔕 HVAC System Maintenance

• Carry out preventive maintenance and corrective repair work on all HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV units, split ACs, and ventilation systems.
• Ensure routine servicing of air filters, belts, and motors, and check refrigerant levels.
• Diagnose operational issues, identify faults, and perform necessary repairs or part replacements.

🛠️ Installation & Commissioning

• Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new HVAC equipment as per design standards.
• Ensure systems are calibrated and tested for optimal performance before handover.

📊 Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor temperature controls, pressure gauges, and system logs to detect malfunctions.
• Respond to breakdown calls, attend to complaints, and rectify HVAC issues promptly to minimize downtime.

📑 Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, service reports, and spare parts usage.
• Provide daily/weekly reports to the technical supervisor/facility manager regarding system performance and maintenance work done.

💼 Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards while handling HVAC systems.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safety practices during maintenance and repair activities.

Key Competencies & Skills:

• Sound knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical controls.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC equipment.
• Basic understanding of BMS (Building Management Systems) is a plus.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit and capable of handling site-related technical tasks.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: ITI/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / Mechanical / Electrical
• Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance within facility management, real estate, or commercial buildings.

Work Environment:

• On-site role at client locations / commercial facilities
