Payroll Specialist

Role: Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Payroll Processing: Accurately process end-to-end payroll for a minimum of 1000 employees in compliance with statutory and organizational policies.
  
• Data Management: Maintain and update payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data into payroll systems.
  
• Compliance: Ensure timely filing and payment of statutory contributions (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.) and adherence to labor laws and internal controls.
  
• Reconciliation: Conduct monthly payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in coordination with finance and HR teams.
  
• Reporting: Generate payroll reports, salary registers, tax filings, and ad hoc reports for internal audits and management.
  
• Employee Queries: Address employee queries related to salary, deductions, income tax, and other payroll matters efficiently.
  
• Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements in payroll systems and procedures for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
  
• Coordination: Liaise with HR, Finance, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless payroll execution and compliance.
  

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Experience: Minimum 3-7 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing for a large organization (1000+ headcount).
  
• Technical Skills:
  
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, formulas, dashboards).
  
• Familiarity with payroll software and HRMS platforms.
  
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian payroll laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliances.
  
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and confidentiality in handling sensitive payroll data.
  
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
  
• Time Management: Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
