Trainee _ IT Officer _Shipping _ Govandi (E)

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated female Trainee _ IT officer (fresher) to join our ship management company based in Mumbai. The ideal candidate should be a recent graduate in BE/BSc (IT/Computer Science) from a reputed institute, eager to build a career in the maritime and shipping IT domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  
• Help in maintaining IT inventory records and asset tracking.
  
• Monitor and support basic network and connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi/printers).
  
• Support with routine software updates, patches, and basic troubleshooting.
  
• Assist in creating and maintaining user accounts, email configuration, and access permissions.
  
• Log and track IT helpdesk tickets and ensure timely resolution.
  
• Support the IT team in system documentation, filing, and internal audits.
  
• Coordinate with vendors for repairs and replacements under warranty or AMC.
  
• Maintain confidentiality and data security protocols as per company policies.
  

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• BE/BSc in IT or Computer Science from a reputed college (2024/2025 pass-out preferred).
  
• Strong fundamentals in computer hardware, operating systems, and networking basics.
  
• Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows environment.
  
• Willingness to learn and work in a structured, maritime industry environment.
  
• Ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
