Technical Product Manager

Ford Credit Core Foundational Systems is looking for a Technical Product Manager with specialization in project planning and strategy, execution, monitoring and control. Candidate will make an impact by aligning business and global technology goals while managing relationships across geographically distributed teams. Candidate will be working closely with Engineering leaders, Business analysts, Product Owners, Product managers, developers, and architects within Ford Credit. Candidate is required to have a deep understanding of engineering practices, Lean-Agile program management practices including SAFe, DevOps, SRE principles and practices.

Functional and Technical Skills required :

• Experience in building and implementing Microservices architecture using Spring framework
• Strong expertise working on Cloud and Core platforms
• Experience with Lean and Agile methodologies Xtreme Programming
• Experience collaborating with product managers, engineers, designers, and product owners
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your communication style to the audience
• Ability to work collaboratively and navigate complex decision making in a rapidly changing environment

Required Work Experience:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and have good knowledge of RESTful design patterns
• Experience in CI/CD tools like Tekton and Cloud Build. Experience in Web Single Sign-on (SSO), OAuth2. 0 Security and related authentication technologies
• Experience in Spring Frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Integration, MVC and Spring Cloud Services), experience with SCM tools like GitHub and build management tools like Gradle and MAVEN.
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing high volume web services using API Protocols and Data Formats (REST, JSON, SOAP XML)
• Experience in Cloud Architecture, Cloud Security; Cloud platforms, Automation (Ideally GCP)
• Good knowledge on SQL and experience working with databases (MSSQL, Postgres or DB2). Experience in Postman/SOAP-UI, IDE tools like Visual Studio, IntelliJ or similar tooling
• Strong communication skills, intelligence, and drive; must be able to work in a self-driven manner within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to manage work effectively on shared projects with a diverse team of developers.
• Ability to lead and deeply understand the technical details of a problem and foster collaboration to get to a path forward.

Preferred additional Qualifications:

• Experience in Banking/Fintech would be a real plus for this role.
• Certification in Lean-Agile practices, such as Certified Scrum Master or SAFe
• Certifications in Cloud platform or equivalent
• Experience managing complex programs with solutions relying on cloud-native technologies.
• 12+ years experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area
• Extensive experience managing programs supporting Platform service-oriented or SaaS based solutions.

Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to influence the enterprise.

• Drive and manage Originations applications in Ford Credit IT, working with cross-functional teams and collaborate with Business stakeholders on day-to-day activities.
• Be the first line of defense to shield delivery teams from planned and unplanned needs for various purposes
• Lead Security and Controls for Originations suite of applications and maintain the data sanity in tools like Jira, Confluence and SharePoint
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e. g. , daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) for development teams.
• Bring out Innovation best practices in the team to achieve efficiency in applications and cost savings to the enterprise.
• Implement APIs and maintain their lifecycle, design and develop REST APIs using API Management platform APIGEE
• Implement policies to prevent unauthorized disclosure, modification, removal or destruction of data.
• Translate customer requirements into deliverables and negotiate feasibility with available tooling/resources
• Assist the team in designing and developing Proof-of-Concepts (PoC) as required and collaborate with Portfolio Architects
• Managing technical risks and issues, facilitating technical discussions involving application and solution architects.
• Lead all technology/infrastructure upgrades within the portfolio
• Manage and provide application technical support, troubleshooting, and complex problem resolution
