Director - Engineering Management (8-13 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Director of Engineering to lead and scale our backend and microservices architecture. This leadership role is critical to building secure, scalable, and high-performance systems that support our AI-driven healthcare products. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Java, Spring, and microservices, along with a strong architectural vision and the ability to drive engineering excellence.

Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust, scalable backend systems and microservices.

- Architect and implement high-performance, secure solutions that support data-intensive AI

workloads.

- Collaborate closely with AI/ML, product, and design teams to deliver integrated features.

- Establish and enforce best practices in coding, architecture, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps.

- Mentor and manage engineering teams, promoting a culture of ownership and continuous

learning.

- Ensure all systems comply with data privacy and security standards (e. g., HIPAA, GDPR).

Requirements :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 7+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java and Spring (Spring Boot).

- Proven expertise in designing and scaling microservices-based architectures.

- Strong command over cloud technologies (AWS/Azure), relational and NoSQL databases.

- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

- Solid understanding of backend performance optimization, observability, and monitoring.

- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and team communication skills
