Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Java-based automation, API testing, and BDD/TDD frameworks. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and performance of enterprise-level applications through robust automated test solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for UI and API testing.

Develop and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and Rest Assured.

Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of APIs and web applications.

Implement BDD/TDD methodologies using tools like Cucumber and TestNG/JUnit.

Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to ensure product quality from requirements to delivery.

Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through resolution.

Continuously optimize and refactor test cases and frameworks for scalability and performance.

Participate in code reviews, test strategy discussions, and contribute to test planning.

Drive automation adoption and promote best practices in testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.

Strong programming skills in Java (Object-oriented programming concepts must be clear).

Expertise in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.

Solid experience in API testing and automation using Rest Assured.

Hands-on experience with BDD/TDD frameworks like Cucumber, JUnit, and TestNG.

Experience working with Maven/Gradle, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI).

Proficiency in using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools for manual API testing.

Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).

Experience with test reporting tools like Allure or Extent Reports.
