Responsible for effectively handling all litigation for the organization and to minimize litigation by providing appropriate guidance and inputs on all legal contracts and agreements entered into by the organization.
Major Roles and Responsibilities:
- High court case handling, Provides legal and related strategic advice regarding the actions and measures necessary to secure/facilitate compliance with the legal matters.
- Provides legal advice to prospective parties for redevelopment projects/new projects/any projects involving prospective litigation
- Ensures legal vetting of all claim documents before submission to arbitrator
- High stake litigation.
- Responds to all internal queries on legal matters while ensuring adherence to defined policies
- Ensures adequate legal support and legal opinion to the concerned departments on legal matters as and when required
- Identifies and effectively liaises with external lawyers/ legal counsels for ensuring best quality legal advice at optimum cost
- Represents the organization at hearings in the court and arbitration meetings and provides inputs to management based on the proceedings/ meetings/ conferences, etc.
