Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Key Account Manager (KAM) to drive new business acquisition, manage key client relationships, and lead a small team of sales professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, a data-driven mindset, and a demonstrated ability to deliver on targets while mentoring others.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Achieve individual and team sales targets
2. Identify and convert new high-potential accounts to support overall business growth
3. Build and manage long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring retention and upsell opportunities
4. Guide and mentor a small sales team; delegate responsibilities effectively to meet team goals
5. Analyze sales data to identify trends and optimize sales strategies accordingly
6. Prepare and present accurate sales forecasts, funnel reports, and market intelligence
7. Drive daily activities including lead generation, client meetings/demos, and pipeline development
8. Monitor collections, account health, and take proactive steps to reduce receivable aging
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, finance, operations) to ensure seamless execution
10. Track competitor activity and market shifts to inform strategic decisions and product positioning
Ideal Candidate Profile:
1. 6-9 years of proven experience in B2B or corporate sales, including account acquisition and relationship management
2. Experience leading or mentoring a small team
3. Engineering background preferred for analytical and structured thinking
4. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
5. Comfortable working with CRM systems and sales analytics tools
6. Target-driven, self-starter with strong ownership and problem-solving abilities
