Frontend Engineer - React.js/TypeScript (5-7 yrs)

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and responsive frontend applications from conception to production.

- Utilize expert proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React + Hooks, Redux, HTML5, and SASS/CSS to build intuitive and performant user interfaces.

- Collaborate extensively with product owners, backend engineers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to facilitate the development of new features and applications, ensuring alignment and seamless integration.

- Leverage knowledge of UX/UI design principles to translate wireframes and mockups into functional user experiences.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within your specialism and actively participate in your Community of Practice, leading by example in coding standards and technical discussions.

- Help run your Community of Practice, encouraging broad participation and knowledge sharing amongst peers.

- Mentor and support more junior colleagues through various avenues, including pair programming, thorough code reviews, and providing constructive feedback.

- Actively help more junior colleagues plan their careers and progress within Allica, sharing insights and opportunities for growth.

- Apply expertise in modern frontend build tools such as Webpack and Babel.

- Implement robust testing strategies using Jest, Cypress, and React Testing Library to ensure application reliability and quality.

- Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration, with an interest in scaling applications using methodologies like Micro Frontends and Blue/Green Deployments.

- Work effectively within CI/CD pipelines and leverage modern DevOps tools to automate deployment processes.

- Adhere to Extreme Programming Practices (XP) in daily development.

- Demonstrate prior experience using OpenID Connect Protocol for secure authentication and authorization.

- Collaborate on API integrations to ensure secure and efficient data exchange.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

- Experience : 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on React.js.

- Core Frontend Technologies : Expert proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React + Hooks, Redux, HTML5, and SASS/CSS.

- Backend Exposure : Experience with Node.js (for backend services/build tools) and a good understanding of backend integration points.

- Build & Test Tools : Experienced with Webpack, Babel, Jest, Cypress, and React Testing Library.

- Modern DevOps : Experienced with Docker and Kubernetes. Experienced with CI/CD and modern DevOps tools.

- Security : Prior experience using OpenID Connect Protocol.

- Software Methodologies : Strong understanding and practical application of Extreme Programming Practices (XP).

- Design Knowledge : Knowledge of UX/UI design principles.

- Problem-Solving : Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Communication : Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to mentor and guide.

BENEFICIAL SKILLS (GOOD TO HAVE) :

- Knowledge of MobX and Nx.

- Exposure to Azure DevOps Pipelines.

- Experience with scaling methodologies like Micro Frontends and Blue/Green Deployments.

- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
