Job Description

Offer M&A advice to listed companies, privately owned companies and private equity backed companies. Expertise covers the full breadth of the M&A advisory spectrum covering EMEA/UK and US including majority and minority disposals to trade and private equity investors, corporate carve-outs, P2Ps, mergers, acquisitions in connection with platforms or bolt-ons and advice in connection with the raising of growth capital from either the debt or equity markets. As part of the team, you will focus on working within the industrials sector.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Financial Modelling and Analysis: Develop and assess complex financial models to evaluate potential transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), leveraged buyouts (LBOs), and other financial advisory services.
Industry and Company Research: Conduct in-depth research on companies and industry trends within the Industrials sector to support transaction execution and business development efforts.
Client Presentation Preparation: Organize and create comprehensive presentations that explain industry trends, financial analyses, and strategic recommendations to clients.
Transaction Process Management: Assist in managing various aspects of transaction processes, including marketing materials, due diligence, documentation, and coordination among multiple stakeholders .
Client Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with clients to understand their needs, provide updates on transaction progress, and address any concerns.
Coordination with Advisors and Legal Teams: Work closely with our in-house legal and other deal advisors to ensure seamless execution of transactions and compliance with relevant regulations.

Core Skills:

Financial Modelling & Valuation

Strong ability to build and interpret DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, and comparable company models.
High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Analytical Thinking:

Ability to synthesize large volumes of data into actionable insights.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilities.

Communication Skills:

Clear and concise verbal and written communication for client materials and internal discussions.
Ability to present complex ideas in a simple, compelling way.

Attention to Detail:

Precision and accuracy in data handling, presentation materials, and financial analysis.

Time Management & Multi-tasking:

Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple workstreams, and prioritize effectively.

Team Collaboration:

Comfortable working in high-pressure team environments, coordinating with senior bankers and peers.

Adaptability & Initiative:

Proactive attitude and eagerness to take ownership of tasks.
Adaptability to shifting priorities and fast-paced deal timelines

Knowledge Requirements:

Industry Knowledge (preferred but not mandatory) - Understanding of key trends and dynamics in the industrials sector, including subsectors like aerospace, transportation, manufacturing, and construction services.
Accounting & Finance - Strong foundation in corporate finance, financial statement analysis, and valuation techniques.
Capital Markets Understanding- Knowledge of equity, debt, and hybrid instruments relevant to industrials transactions.
M&A and Deal Process Familiarity - Awareness of the typical stages of M&A transactions
Economics & Global Markets Awareness:
Broad understanding of macroeconomic factors affecting industrial companies and global market conditions.
Undergraduate Degree in Finance/Economics.
