Electrician

Role & responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, and control circuits.
  
• Operate and maintain Diesel Generators (DGs), ensuring availability during power outages.
  
• Conduct regular checks and servicing of HT (High Tension) and LT (Low Tension) electrical panels and switchgear.
  
• Monitor and maintain transformers for proper voltage output and temperature levels.
  
• Execute utility maintenance tasks including inspection and servicing of electrical meters, UPS systems, and distribution boards.
  
• Identify faults in electrical circuits and perform timely repairs to avoid operational disruptions.
  
• Record and maintain logbooks for electrical loads, DG operation, transformer status, and panel readings.
  
• Support energy conservation initiatives and efficient power usage within the facility.
  
• Follow all safety standards, lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company policies while performing tasks.
  
• Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules in coordination with the maintenance team.
  
• Maintain inventory of electrical spares, tools, and safety gear.
  

Preferred candidate profile

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Wireman License holder (preferred).
  
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial/industrial electrical maintenance environment.
  
• Hands-on experience with DG set operations and electrical panel maintenance.
  
• Good knowledge of HT/LT systems, transformers, and protection relays.
  
• Experience in working with utility service providers and electrical audits is an advantage.
