Area Sales Manager

K-Pra Foods, a trusted name in traditional Maharashtrian food products, is looking for a dynamic and strategic Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead and drive business across Mumbai and Raigad Region General Trade network. The ASM will manage a team of TSOs and TSIs and distributors, ensuring target achievement, effective execution, and long-term brand penetration.

Role & responsibilities

Sales Planning & Execution

• Drive secondary and primary sales for the entire Mumbai and Raigad region.
• Plan monthly/quarterly sales targets, schemes, and territory-wise growth strategies.
• Track performance vs. plan at a granular level (TSO-wise, beat-wise).

 Team Leadership

• Recruit, train, and manage a team of TSOs and TSIs
• Conduct regular market work with team members to build capabilities and ensure execution.
• Review team KPIs, productivity metrics, and performance improvement plans.

Distributor & Channel Management

• Appoint, manage, and scale up distributor network across Mumbai zones.
• Monitor distributor ROI, stock rotation, claims, collections, and delivery timelines.
• Identify opportunities for channel expansion or territory realignment.

Reporting & Analysis

• Regularly update leadership on sales MIS, competitor activity, pricing trends, and in-market issues.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting from field teams (DSR, weekly reviews, etc.).
• Use data insights to realign strategy for each sub-territory.

Preferred candidate profile

• Go getter and self motivated
• Graduate in any stream; MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred.
• 58 years of FMCG General Trade experience (minimum 2 years in team handling role).
• Must have strong working knowledge of Mumbai market (retail + distribution).
• Proven success in leading field teams and building strong channel partnerships.
• Highly data-driven, process-oriented, and energetic leadership style.
