Job Summary:

• Experienced in field operations of a reputed Solar salt works with 3500 to 5000 acres, both in manual and mechanized operations.
• Capable of managing a solar salt works independently.
• Sea Brine management, monitoring and control of chemical properties
• Maintenance and operation of sea water pumping station and brine pumps.
• Maintaining brine channels, evaporators, pre-crystallizers, high density deep ponds and crystalizers operation and maintenance.
• Harvesting operations including labour management
• Meeting crude salt production targets.
• Implementation of strict quality control measures for brine and crude salt
• Safety and optimum utilization of harvesting machinery.
• Hands on experience in operation and maintenance salt washery, control of washing losses etc.
• Responsibilities include leading field operations staff and collaborating with departmental heads to facilitate timely equipment availability and salt refining operations.
• Track weather forecast / reports and monitor conditions for decision making.
• Maintaining local community relations.
• Obtaining environmental permits, mining leases, approvals etc.
• Cost control on salt works operations.

Qualifications: B.Sc or Diploma in Chemical Engg.
