Role & responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement strategies for land acquisition, including identifying suitable properties and assessing their potential.

  • Market Research:

Conduct thorough research to understand land values, market trends, and potential opportunities.

  • Property Evaluation:

Evaluate potential properties based on factors like location, size, zoning regulations, and environmental considerations.

  • Negotiation:

Negotiate with landowners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to secure favorable purchase or lease agreements.

  • Due Diligence:

Oversee the due diligence process, including title searches, environmental assessments, and other necessary checks.

  • Contract Management:

Manage the legal and contractual aspects of land acquisition, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

  • Stakeholder Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, government officials, legal teams, and other stakeholders.

  • Project Management:

Manage the entire acquisition process, from initial identification to closing the deal and transferring ownership.

  • Team Leadership:

May manage a team of land acquisition specialists or coordinate with other departments involved in the process.

  • Compliance:

Ensure all land acquisition activities comply with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of all land acquisition activities, including purchase agreements, permits, and other relevant documents.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Real Estate Knowledge:

Strong understanding of real estate principles, property valuation, and land use regulations.

  • Negotiation Skills:

Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.

  • Legal Acumen:

Familiarity with legal aspects of land acquisition, including contracts, title work, and environmental regulations.

  • Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze market data, assess property values, and make informed decisions.

  • Project Management:

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Relationship Building:

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, government officials, and other stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the land acquisition process.

  • Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred candidate profile


Candidate with at least 10+ years of experience is mandatory.

Previous experience in land acquisition is mandatory.
