Purpose: The role holder will oversee accounting operations and maintain records, evaluate and mitigate risk, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate audits, monitor expenditures, and forecast revenue. Additionally, they will be accountable for preparing financial statements for legal entities, managing monthly and quarterly book closings, and generating management information systems (MIS) reports.

Role and Responsibilities:

Financial accounting and reporting:

- Prepare day to day accounting operations and month end close as per the finance calendar of the entity and compliance with the applicable GAAP and other regulations.

- Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.

- Knowledge of IND-AS standards

Monthly / Quarterly / Year End close and Audit

- Closing monthly/ quarterly / year end financials, preparation of financial statements and managing audits with a Big 4 auditor.

Financial Management

- Ensure revenues are collected and accounted for.

- Prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy.

- Regular review of key Balance sheet items to ensure assets and liabilities are correctly stated in the books.

Stakeholder Management:

- Managing regular interactions with multiple stakeholders internally

- Communicate with external stakeholders such as banks, Auditors and professional advisors, Tax & regulatory authorities.

- Ability to offer solutions related to finance processes in line with business requirements

Technology Management:

- Actively participate and provide inputs for the development of the in-house ERP and monitor its efficiency.

Candidate Profile:

Essential:

- CA with 4-6 years of post-qualification experience.

- Working Knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining accounts under the Ind-AS & Companies Act, 2013.

- In-depth knowledge of direct and indirect taxation and FEMA regulations.

- Hands-on experience in managing the day-to-day accounting including month-end close process.

- Should have managed a team

Desirable :

- Experience in managing Big 4 Audit firms

- Knowledge of Company Laws.

- Tax & regulatory compliance knowledge for Accounting operations, Tax/ GST / Exchange Control / State Laws

- Experience in managing finances of PE invested company.

- Prior experience in working in a consumer-facing business or retail industry preferred.
