Job Description
- Bachelors degree in CS, engineering, software engineering, or related field
- Minimum 2+ years previous experience in development and operations, or related IT, computer, or operations field
- Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
- Version control system experience (e.g. Git, perforce, svn etc)
- Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments(e.g. Jenkins, TravisCI)
- Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, gitlab or an equivalent
- Good experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL (NoSQL experience is a plus, too, since we also use elastic search)
- A drive towards automating repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Bash, yaml, Ruby, etc)
- Practical experience with Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes/ECS)
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies
- Up-to-date on the latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
