Job Description:

Market Xcel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for data, a keen eye for detail, and a proven ability to translate complex datasets into clear, concise, and actionable insights. This role will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy, validity, and efficient delivery of our research findings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Validation & Quality Assurance:
• Perform rigorous data validation checks using MS-Excel and SPSS to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies, errors, and outliers in terms of a tactical check of the survey data.
• Identify the basic sense check in the survey data for discrepancies and errors, and/or not reflecting the market realities.
• Implement and maintain data quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Data Tabulation & Analysis:
• Conduct comprehensive data tabulation using SPSS and Quantum, generating insightful cross-tabulations and statistical analyses.
• Develop and execute data manipulation and transformation tasks.
• Utilize advanced Excel functionalities, including Macros, for data cleaning, analysis, and reporting.
• Coding open-ended responses in the survey questions
• Data Visualization & Reporting:
• Create compelling and interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, MS Excel, or Power BI to visualize key findings and trends.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Work closely with research managers, project teams, and clients to understand data requirements and deliver on project objectives.
• Communicate technical concepts and findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Process Improvement:
• Proactively identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements in data handling and reporting.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data analysis and visualization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the market research industry.
• Exceptional proficiency in MS Excel and/or SPSS for data validation, cleaning, and statistical analysis.
• Strong expertise in Quantum (must) and SPSS for data tabulation and analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including extensive experience with Macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
• [Optional] Demonstrable experience in creating compelling data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau, MS Excel, or Power BI.
